In April of 2002, my son Joshua joined the United States Army. 

When he joined it seemed as if our entire family joined as well.

I wanted and needed to feel connected in some

way to helping him and others.

During 2003, while working with a nonprofit foundation

I exclusively worked with our Nation's wounded heroes and their families. 

Establishing wonderful relationships with combat support hospitals in

Iraq and Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany along with

Walter Reed Hospital in Washington D.C. has given us the opportunity

to learn what is needed and wanted.

Having the desire to focus on exclusively in assisting our wounded

heroes and their families has led to the establishment of

OPERATION FIRST RESPONSE in September 2004.  With the

help of volunteers and benefactors we now hope to make a difference

in our Heroes lives who have given so much in their service to

our Great Nation.

during their visit to Washington DC, Memorial Day weekend.
