Letter of Appreciation
From Fort Bragg

Ms. Crossley,
Your name was in the package as the point of contact for Operation First Response.
We just wanted to thank your group for the quilt our son PVT Jason Strickland received while recovering from injuries he received in combat in Afghanistan in December 2007.
Thank you all for your kindness, it meant a great deal to our family.

Jim and Scheryl Strickland

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done.
You will never know how much this genrosity is appreciated.
It takes very special, selfless people to do what your organization does and I know God
will truly bless you for all you do.
Thank you again with all my heart!

Julia Bridges

Hi,
I recently was hospitalized in Womack Medical Center and received one of your backpacks.
I want to thank you for yuor generosity. I was wounded in Iraq, suffering many broken bones
and internal injuries and was sent back to the states without any belongings so your pack came in handy.
I am recovering nicely, thanks to the care and support of many like you.
Thank you again, you are doing a wonderful thing!

SPC Steven Keyes

Peggy,
Thanks for your help, I really appreciate what you guys do for us and it really shows that people care!
Thanks for all your help, this is the main reason I do what I do for people like you.
With respect and appreciation,

SSG Cabrera

Just wanted to thank you and all the groups and families who collectively made the quilt blankets!
They are wonderful. When I receive a package of blankets from you I bring them to our inpatient wards,
where the wounded Warriors are being treated and/or awaiting a flight out.
The nurses there say that the blankets have been very helpful because sometimes flying in
a military aircraft can get very cold.
That wounded Warrior, who is waiting to go home, is comforted by the fact that someone cared
to take the time to make a blanket just for them. I just wanted to let you know that
you and your organization have already made a difference and it is greatly appreciated!
God bless!

Jerome Gubash

Hi,
I just wanted to say thank you from all of my family. You were a big help, I just wish I could
send more than this greeting card, we are very grateful to all of you and your hard work so
thank you!
I send my warmest and biggest hugs from my family.
Sincerely,

Brenton Baldwin

Heather,
Thanks for all your help. We could not have made it without your help!
We are so very grateful as well blessed.
Sincerely,
Chrystal & Michael Chaney

On behalf of myself and the 728th Military Police Battalion "Warfighters"
I want to express my appreciation for your generosity in support of the
Troy Barboza Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics.
This was a monumental event as this was the first time this run was conducted in Iraq.
Your personal contribution was incredably helpful and made this event a huge success. The items you donated mean so much to the Soldiers and civilians here, but even more to the athletes of the Special Olympics. We could not have done this without your support.
Thank you for making a difference!

Respectfully,
Brian Bisacre

To all at OFR,
I would sincerely like to thank you for the support and generosity you have shown.
My husband is assigned to Brooke Army Medical Cneter in San Antonio, after being wounded in Iraq.
The appreciation we have for the help you have provided us cannot be truly put into words.
Him and I along with our 5 children have seen the outpouring of support from people like
you and it brings tears just writing you now.
May all citizens learn a thing or two from your organization,
because we would all be better off if they did!

Dear Operation First Response,
I want to thank you for your help with my brother, Gary Schall,
with your help he was able to be transferred from Denver Health in Colorado to the
Poly Trauma Rehab Unit in Palo Alto, CA.
Gary is making progress. I was told he had a long road to travel.
With help, determination, prayers and love, the road may not be as long.
Anything is possible with God's grace.
With heartfelt appreciation,

Sandy Reilly

To whom it may concern;
I'd like to say thank you for acknowledging the Troops the way you do.
It touches me to no end to see what you do and the difference you make.
You see my name is Mike Mason and I am a contractor in Kuwait,
supporting the US Army as they head
towards Iraq and Afghanistan, and it is the best feeling in the world.
I will have supported the US Army for 4 years as of Feb. 1, 2008
and get goose bumps knowing that I really make a difference.
You and your team should be proud of the
Army here in Kuwait, what a fine group of men and women who are so genuine,
professional and focused on their jobs. It is truly a great feeling and what a heartfelt
feeling to be able to say
"I AM AN AMERICAN" as I support the awesome power that is the US ARMY!
Great job!
Sincerely,

Michael Mason

Dear Carolyn,
Thank you so much Ma'm.
I am truly blessed to have gotten to know you and to know you are trying so hard to help me.
Coming home from Iraq and Afghanastan sometimes throws us into a whole lot of unforeseen
circumstances. I true heartedly appreciate your honest and genuine support for the Soldier.
We do this not for the money. When the Soldiers put the "boots on the ground"
we do so to give hope for the hopeless. A true fulfillment of the prayers to God answered.
Have a blessed day.

Dear Peggy & Carolyn,
Thank you for assisting my son and I. When Patrick's surgery was delayed a week
we were not prepared to incur an additional week's expenses for lodging, food and
airline flight change fees - you and your organization came to our rescue!
Thank you again for yuor help!
Sincerely,

Maureen & Patrick Keener
