Heroes First Foundation Golf Tournament benefiting U.S. Military Personnel through Operation One Voice and Operation First Response.

Stone Mountain, Georgia, May 24th, 2010 — Heroes First Foundation hosted its first annual golf tournament benefiting U.S. Military personnel through Operation One Voice and Operation First Response. The event was held on May 24th at Stone Mountain Golf Club. Approximately 144 golfers attended this event and help raise over $30,000 to benefit these military charities. Both organizations were presented a check at the event for $10,500. The attendees benefited at the golf tournament by awareness of what our wounded soldiers need outside of government assistance.
Operation One Voice is a local organization in Duluth, GA and is designed by police officers, firefighters and community leaders to raise funds to help support the immediate needs of children and families of wounded and fallen Special Operations Forces.
First Response journey has grown and changed to expand to the needs of the families they serve. OFR staff members consider it an honor and a privilege to be able to lighten the load of our wounded and their families. They have seen devotion beyond words from family members to their loved ones. Mothers, fathers, spouses and extended family and friends who have spent endless hours at the bedside of their loved one, because of the severity of many of the injuries this journey can last for several months and for others…several years. For many of OFR families the financial hardship begins quickly and for others it is after the domino effect of extra costs and lost wages. At whatever stage they are in when they contact OFR and they are committed to doing all they can to support these families because it is their responsibility as American citizens, the heart of OFR is exactly what makes America great… they know that our Freedoms are not free and we are committed to those who make those Freedoms possible.
Heroes First Foundation started in January 2010 by John Kahren. John’s goal is to find Military organizations that can benefit from events hosted by SPP Pumps and Syncrolfo in the name of Heroes First Foundation. Each year Heroes First Foundation will host a golf tournament to benefit our Military personnel.
